ProDrift European and Nordic Drifting Series join together for bumper weekend at Sturup Raceway
Sturup Raceway will reverberating to the glorious sound of tyre squeal and be bathed in a haze of tyre smoke when these 2 big drifting series roll into town on 14/15 June. The event will see one of the most impressive line up of drifting cars on display and will stage a superb two day event full of action.
The Nordic Drifting Series will kick the weekend off on Saturday with drifter from all over Scandinavia battling it out, not only be crowned the winner of the Sturup Raceway round of the series but to also to qualify for the ProDrift European Series on the Sunday. With the best of the Nordic series getting a chance to go head to head against the rest of Europe on the Sunday, it means that there will be no love lost between the Drifters of the Nordic Series as the day progresses.
The ever-popular ProDrift European Series then takes over on the Sunday and boasts a wide range of nationalities from Ireland, UK, Spain, Italy and also Sweden, Denmark and Norway. Add into this the qualifiers from the Nordic Series it’s going to make one of the best drifting events of the year. With the winner of round 2, Darren McNamara away in the USA completing, it leaves the door wide open for the rest of the field to step up and take the glory.
With the action on-track concentrating around the Panorama and Karrousels corners, Sturup Raceway have constructed an extra 1000 grandstand seating places bring the total of seats available up to 2000. Along with the extra seats, there is free standing places so you can bring you own chair and lunch box and enjoy the show. With a car styling show happening in the paddock along with a chance to buy some ProDrift clothing and other merchandise, it will be a great weekend for all.
And for those who fancy making a weekend of it, on-site camping is available and to keep the party atmosphere going in the evening, you can join the drifters in the Startline Club where you can meet them face to face and maybe even have a drink with them.
